NOS Feon Registered Pure Steel Takehana / Kikuboshi

Vintage Feon Registered Pure Steel straight razor made by Takehana (Kikuboshi) in 1964, at celebration of 40 years since the company was founded. 

Translation from the back of the box:

“We have succeeded to create a perfect spherical cementite structure during heat treatment” 

  These Feon are amazing shavers! The quality of this “Pure Steel”  is impressive! It is extra hard, gets extremely sharp, has an excellent edge retention and doesn’t stain easily.

- full hollow ground, super thin edge

- closing smooth and perfectly centered 

 NOS razors were usually honed in factory and sold ready for use. However, I always recommend a professional honing for all NOS straight razors before use. Let me know at the moment of purchase if you want it honed.
