Friodur is the name given by Henckels to their process of ice-hardening steel used for their blades.
The best part about a stainless steel razor is that it doesn't rust so easily like high carbon steel so it doesn’t need special maintenance

NOS razors were usually honed in factory and sold ready for use. However, I always recommend a professional honing for all NOS straight razors before use. Let me know at the moment of purchase if you want it honed for free.
